FMIPA UGM Collaborates with Kaspersky to Prepare Future Digital Talent

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is expanding its strategic collaboration network in the field of cybersecurity through a partnership with Kaspersky on October 5, 2026. This collaboration is part of an effort to build an ecosystem for education, research, and digital talent development that can adapt to the challenges of global cybersecurity.

The partnership opens up opportunities for training programs, workshops, certifications, competency development for students and faculty members, and joint research initiatives, all designed to better align with industry needs. Kaspersky Academy offers partnership programs with higher education institutions to support the integration of cybersecurity knowledge and technologies into academic curricula.

Together with the Department of Computer Science and Electronics (IKE), FMIPA UGM continues to strengthen the cybersecurity ecosystem through education, research, innovation, and collaboration with various strategic partners.

This collaboration aligns with UGM’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through the enhancement of cybersecurity competencies and literacy, as well as SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, through the development of research and innovation driven by industry needs.

More than simply establishing a partnership network, this initiative represents a joint effort to nurture digital talent that is adaptable, innovative, and competitive. It also contributes to building a resilient and sustainable digital security ecosystem in Indonesia.
