Two-Day Skills 2 Work Training Program: FMIPA UGM and Mien R Uno Foundation Support Students in Career Preparation

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) once again organized the Skills 2 Work program in collaboration with the Mien R Uno Foundation (MRUF). Under the theme “Connecting Youth to STEM Future Career,” the program was held over two days, September 2–3, 2026, at the RMJT Soehakso Auditorium, FMIPA UGM.

On the second day, the Skills 2 Work program continued the material presented on the first day, featuring Faisal Makruf as the speaker. Drawing on his experience in Human Resources, Faisal shared his expertise through a session on curriculum vitae (CV), or résumé, as a document commonly used in the professional world.

In addition to the presentation, participants engaged in interactive group discussions and presentations based on the material provided. One of the sessions involved practicing CV improvement. Participants reviewed their previously prepared CVs and revised them based on the knowledge and guidance they had gained during the program. The revised CVs were then discussed with other participants, with selected participants invited to present their work.

The Skills 2 Work program officially concluded on its second day. Through this program, FMIPA UGM and the Mien R Uno Foundation contributed to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education by providing training and developing the soft skills of FMIPA UGM students.
