International Virtual Bootcamp 2021
“Disaster Risk Reduction during the COVID-19 Pandemic”

Striving to develop human resources capable of managing Asia’s development, led by the concepts of safety and security, in 2014 Kansai University of International Studies (KUIS) reached out to 13 universities in Southeast Asia and launched the Asian Cooperative Program (ACP) Consortium. Since then, KUIS and the ACP university members are striving to enrich various programs and develop human resources capable of managing Asia’s development, led by the concepts of safety and security. In 2021, KUIS is planning to have ACP International Virtual Bootcamp and ACP Online International Symposium in cooperation with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).
ACP Virtual Bootcamp will be held in to 3 webinar series as follows:
1. 16 March 2021 hosted by KUIS
2. 23 March 2021 hosted by UUM, and
3. 30 March 2021 hosted by UGM
Each session will invite 3 prominent speakers that come from government, academic, researcher, industry and NGO.
Participant eligibility:
• Active UGM undergraduate student from any department/faculty
• Have a strong academic background
• Good command in English
• Willing to commit to follow all session of the program
• Willing to submit an essay in the end of each session and present (in group of students) the conclusion of the learning during the Bootcamp in ACP Online International Symposium, on 6th April 2021.
Benefit:
• Certificate of completion from ACP (Certificate can be inputted in SIMASTER for Diploma Supplement (Surat Keterangan Pendamping Ijazah/ SKPI)
• Network of students from KUIS, UUM and UGM
