Announcement of Graduation for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral Programs for September 2023.

Notice to all undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada, that the graduation ceremony for September 2023 is scheduled for Monday, September 25, 2023, at 13:00 WIB (Western Indonesia Time), and the submission of graduation documents from the study program to the faculty should be no later than Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

In addition to submitting the graduation documents, students are also required to register online through the website https://simaster.ugm.ac.id using their respective Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials.

The Community Service Collaboration between FMIPA UGM (Department of Mathematics), FMIPA UNTAD (Department of Mathematics and Statistics), and MGMP Mathematics Palu City is continued with a Discussion on the Implementation of Cooperation between FMIPA UGM and FMIPA UNTAD.

Collaboration between institutions is currently a crucial activity for enhancing the quality of the institutions and the quality of service to the community. In August 2023, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Tadulako University (UNTAD) signed a Cooperation Agreement regarding the activities related to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

On September 6-7, 2023, a delegation from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at UGM, consisting of Dr. Fajar Adi Kusumo, Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Indah Emilia Wijayanti, Drs. Danardono, MPH, Ph.D., and Dr. Dwi Ertiningsih, visited Tadulako University in Palu. This visit was conducted to discuss plans for collaborative activities that can be carried out during the collaboration period, as well as to engage in joint activities related to Community Service and Academic aspects, including Guest Lectures.

Some of the agreed-upon activities to be implemented include sharing sessions, guest lecturers for certain courses, research collaboration, industrial project collaboration involving students, various academic collaborations, and community service collaborations.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at UGM and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at UNTAD have been conducting mentoring activities for Mathematics teachers in Palu City in collaboration with the Mathematics Teacher Forum (MGMP) of Palu High Schools regularly since 2018. In these activities, in addition to sharing materials related to the development of mathematics and the latest mathematics teaching methods, discussions are also held with teacher representatives to address issues related to mathematics teaching and to enhance the teachers’ knowledge.

Apart from activities involving teachers and MGMP, this visit also included academic activities such as Guest Lectures on topics related to the development of Statistics and Data Science, as well as topics related to Student Creativity Week. (FA’23)
