Vision and Mission

Vision

In 2037, it aims to be a nationally prominent and internationally renowned faculty that advances mathematics, physics, chemistry, as well as computer science and electronics for the welfare of the nation, driven by the cultural values of the nation based on Pancasila.

MISI

  1. Developing internationally recognized education in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, and electronics by harnessing the maximum benefits from research outcomes.
  2. Conducting excellent, innovative, and purpose-driven research in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, and electronics for the welfare of the nation, particularly, and humanity in general.
  3. Engaging in community service by utilizing research outcomes in the fields of mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, and electronics to address the challenges facing the nation and humanity as a whole.
  4. Developing sustainable human resources, organization and governance, as well as supporting facilities.

STRATEGIC PLAN

The goal to be achieved is the realization of FMIPA UGM as an integral part of Gadjah Mada University and to become a leading faculty in Indonesia with international achievements and reputation through:

  1. Outstanding and Innovative Education in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Electronics, which is internationally recognized, interdisciplinary, innovative, emphasizes soft skills, and utilizes cutting-edge information technology. This includes a graduate program as the backbone for producing graduates who are healthy, ethical, confident, competitive, innovative, entrepreneurial, and responsible towards the nation and the state.
  2. Outstanding, Innovative, and Directed Research in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Electronics, which is environmentally conscious, serves as a national and international reference, and provides solutions to national and global challenges. This research is based on human and natural resource excellence as well as local wisdom, involving stakeholders in accordance with the Faculty’s research plans.
  3. Excellent and Innovative Community Service based on expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Electronics. This involves community service grounded in knowledge, appropriate technology, and advocacy in these fields, which can promote self-reliance and sustainable community welfare. It utilizes the campus as a platform for applying technological innovations for the community and implements a product development management system to support the commercialization of research outcomes.
  4. The development of resources, organization, and governance that are fair, transparent, participatory, and accountable to support the effective and efficient utilization of resources. This is based on an integrated information technology system to facilitate adaptive learning processes in response to Industry 4.0.
